PTSD can increase chances of heart attack and risks of stroke in women

A research has found the effects of PTSD that can put women at more risks of heart and brains. The post – traumatic stress disorder can cause havoc on an individual’s capability to deal with some disturbances. It keeps you away from getting a good sleep. Apart from all these problems, PTSD can also increase risks of heart attack and strokes. The researchers asked all the women to fill out all necessary information regarding the traumatic events that they had been experiencing in the last 20 years. The PTSD symptoms means having recurring thoughts about the events and it reduces chances of physical assault or natural disasters. 

The researchers found that the women are exposed more exposed to trauma. They had at least four symptoms of PTSD. They had about 60% more symptoms that could lead them to have more heart attacks and strokes and they were not reported to suffer from any trauma. This study created awareness among people about the effects of PTSD and they have a more holistic consequence on their health. The providers and the PTSD patients can become aware with the link, the cardiovascular health was monitored and the prevention efforts were more engaging. The current report shows that the women who experienced more of this trauma did not report any symptoms of PTSD. There are at 45% higher risks of heart attack and strokes. It is not very inconsistent with some other findings.
